Sensor systems
A range of detectors or line scan cameras can be used to analyse the particles being investigated and those which are to be separated. The devices on a sorter depend on the material samples.
The identification of the material takes place if the material is on a stable parabolabic trajectory after leaving the belt or the chute.
By using a combination of the latest recognition systems and industrially proven engineering technology, the physical-chemical properties of the raw materials, such as for example the spectral response in the spectral ranges from X-rays via UV and VIS to IR, ferro and diamagnetic properties, can be used effectively together with criteria such as colour, luminosity, shape and particle size to bring about a reliable and well-founded sorting decision for widely differing materials.
The recognition system activates a range of high-speed valves in order to bring the undesired (bad flow) or desired (good flow) defined particles via their nozzle prolongation through an air blast calculated for a certain time and extent, with the result that the particles finally reach the various collecting trays.
