OptoSort Optical Sorting machines are applied in:
- Pre-concentration of plant feed
- Removal of contaminants
- Increase in milling and metallurgical plant capacity
OptoSort Sorting machines help to overcome problems in some most critical areas of modern mining and mineral processing:
- Energy consumption
- Mineral reserves
- Water consumption
- Environmental Impact
- Quality improvement
Optical sorting in practice
OptoSort sorters can be used for user-defined sorting tasks for a wide range of mining products. The size of the particles to be investigated can range from 0.5 mm up to 300 mm and in the final analysis also determines the throughput of the items being sorted as well as the design of the sorter itself in addition to the proportion of scrap.
Depending on the requirements of the sorting task, the bulk material is fed to the sorting device either via a chute or via a conveyor belt. There are two product lines manufactured by Optosort GmbH for this, whose individual levels of configuration are adjusted to the relevant actual sorting problem on an individual basis: belt sorters and gravity sorters.
Both types of machine are used to feed the products to be sorted to the sorting section of the machine, which is identified by the detection and recognition systems.
